John’s journey into Osteopathy began through his own experience as a patient. After years of dealing with persistent knee, shoulder, and back pain—and finding little relief through physiotherapy and athletic therapy—he decided to give Osteopathy a chance. To his surprise, after just a handful of treatments, he was pain-free. Inspired and intrigued by how effective the care was, John knew he wanted to dedicate himself to learning the practice.
Determined to study at the most highly regarded Osteopathy school in Canada, John enrolled in the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, a rigorous four-year program with over 4,200 hours of curriculum and 1,500 hours of hands-on training. In August 2025, he earned his Master in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) and is proud to be an OSTCAN-certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
John also holds a Graduate Diploma in Exercise Science for Health and Performance (Niagara College, 2018), an Undergraduate Degree in Kinesiology (Brock University, 2017), and a Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma (Niagara College, 2015).
Before pursuing Osteopathy, John built over a decade of experience in the health and fitness field through one-on-one personal training and work in physiotherapy clinics. He has supported a wide variety of clients—including athletes, older adults, individuals living with chronic conditions, and people with limb loss. He has also worked with those who had no prior health or exercise background, guiding them in a way that maximized the benefits of movement while minimizing the risk of injury. This hands-on, individualized experience gave John a deep appreciation for how unique each body is, and it continues to shape his osteopathic practice today by helping him adapt care to each person’s needs and goals.
With this diverse background, John combines a deep understanding of anatomy, movement, and manual therapy to provide patients with holistic care that supports the body’s natural ability to heal.
Outside of practice, John enjoys staying active through hiking, obstacle course racing, and working out at the gym. He also loves making homemade ice cream and pizza, and finds relaxation in caring for his collection of plants.
